The conituous evolution of both sport and paddler have drawn the best athletes from across the planet to test themselves against the elements of an ocean that is alive!  While paddlers challenge themselves in various bodies of water across the globe, Kaiwi Channel will always be regarded as one of the most difficult to conquer.  Today’s best paddlers must be elite conditioned athletes, but more importantly in Kaiwi, SOLO ARTISTS.

For water people in Hawaii, life evolves around the ocean, something that we carry around in our gut and would be less than whole without.      In the heat of our competitive nature, we cannot forget how fortunate we are to be a part of the unique paddling lifestyle that has emerged.  As we perpetuate our passion and love for paddling, let us continue to be thankful and respecful of this deeply rooted culture and our precious mother ocean.
